with fiscal management of small nonprofit.Individual must be familiar
and have experience with standard bookkeeping practices, non profit
management and use of QUICKBOOKS.
Job description: input vouchers and payment system on a monthly basis.
Print checks in preparation of signature by executive director.
Disbursements based on voucher system and restricted and unrestricted
grants. Employment is for one day per month at the rate
of $10/hour.

Feb 1 is National Women's Heart Wellness Day and WHF is organizing women's heart risk
screenings in New Jersey, as part of its annual Women's Heart Week
outreach Feb 1-7 and in celebration on National Heart Month. WHF has partnered with
select CURVES® sites to perform the screenings. Spanish-speaking
bi-lingual capability a plus. Funding provided by The HEART TRUTH campaign.
Job description: perform women's heart risk assessment and
health and blood pressure screens with lifestyle counseling; explain purpose and
mission of WHF; set-up and break-down of tables and displays, dissemminate vocational materials;
follow-up with critical findings per nursing standards and guidelines

Patient experience with conducting physical assessment and knowledge
of women's heart disease a must. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Completion of an outcomes report is a requirement.

Posting: Jan2006 - - Outreach Worker to disseminate
health literature; assist where needed at WHF's Heart Rally
and Health Expo the first Saturday in February. WHF is using this
event to launch its statewide 10,000 Steps program.
February is National Heart Month and WHF is organizing a statewide
event with health partners that will include holistic health vendors,
heart risk screenings with lifestyle counseling, health seminars, fitness
programs, health product demos, dance, music, promotional gifts, healthy
foods demos with tasting and family fun, as part its annual Women's
Heart Week celebration February 1-7. Programming follows the 7
Focus Days for Women's Heart Wellness, and is in commemoration of
National Heart Month. Funding provided by the National Institutes
of Health HEART TRUTH project.
Job description: Connect with women and their families to provide
healthy lifestyle information. Distribute promotional gifts.
Set up tables. Decorate. Assist with food and health demos. Register
women and their families for 10,000 Steps Program by explaining contest
and prizes. Register for other upcoming events (i.e. RUN FOR YOUR HEART).
Must be socially engaging, gracious, warm and welcoming with a ready smile
and pleasant personality.

Candidate must undergo orientation to gain knowledge
of women's heart disease and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Job requires excellent physical endurance, without impedance to moving and lifting boxes weighing approximately 50 lbs.
